Every year she would refine the recipe to incorporate new flavors but will lesser calories and bad fat. Ujwala specializes in preparing premium Indian sweets that are healthy and delicious.
She says 'I lived through gestational diabetes, I was touched by stories of people suffering from illnesses raised out of the standard Western diet. Over time, I took a conscious decision to revamp my recipes with whole grains, fresh greens, healthy oils, nuts, and seeds. I reduced the usage of white flour and dairy with absolutely no white sugar. I never use a store-bought pre-made spice mixes, box, break out the can opener, or defrost anything to cook. Though I won't document my sweets as diabetic-friendly, I have had success with friends, family, and myself in managing different types of diets, weight, diabetes with my healthy Indian infused recipes and sweets. I am also mindful of calories and nutrients, which makes your consumption guilt-free and stress-free.
